For millennia, humans learned a trade, craft, or skills that typically confined them to a lifelong career path. However, in today’s rapidly evolving workplace, that traditional route is no longer an option.

Linear career paths, or the conventional career ladder, no longer fit the digital economy. These traditional models are rigid and often compromise personal priorities—think relocating, postponing parenthood, or inflexible hours—as well as personal fulfillment. Perhaps worse is that depending on one path in today’s fast-changing workplace leaves workers vulnerable.
