By the end of the semester—especially spring—everyone is ready for next steps: summer jobs, internships, travel, or just plain hanging around, often making the last day of class a throwaway. Nevertheless, it is actually a perfect time to remind students of all they have learned over the months in your classroom.
For the last class to really count, prep students by setting clear goals and being transparent about your expectations. Do you want students to measure the knowledge they’ve gained? Prepare for a final exam? Connect the dots between concepts and topics you’ve covered?
